Job Description

This position will support the financial planning, reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for our Sales organization. The Sales Finance Manager will develop and implement key process improvements in pricing and trade analytics and will develop analytical and reporting tools that will be leveraged across the entire business.  The Sales Finance Manager will work as a critical business partner for the SVP of Sales and the Sales leadership team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership for the Sales organization, include reporting, analysis and decision support
  • Ensure trade spending budget adherence while tracking and measuring promotional program effectiveness
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly and quarterly sales results. Complete variance analysis for sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and month end financial reporting package
  • Manage monthly forecast process and develop annual budgets
  • Provide necessary analytical support to customer development teams
  • Partner with sales leaders to develop customer pricing strategies
  • Develop sales performance insights that minimize costs and drive sales growth
  • Finance support for SKU and customer optimization efforts
  • All other duties as assigned


Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 5-10 years of experience within a Finance/Accounting function; manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Ability to operate in a highly focused, entrepreneurial environment and expected to challenge and influence business decisions based on fact based information and meaningful analytics
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; proven experience in interacting with external and internal partners in a knowledgeable and helpful manner; ability to constructively challenge others
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to initiate improvements in finance systems and process
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel / Advanced financial modeling skills
  • Past experience with financial reporting systems required
  • Prior experience with accounting/GL systems required
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Collaborative team player
  • Result driven, open personality with a pro-active attitude
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
