Our client strives for perfection as a medical device manufacturer.  They are looking for A+ talent to work with their medical customers.  This manufacturer is a full-service sub-contract medical device component manufacturer with expert machining capabilities.
This applications engineer (or this position could be considered a manufacturing engineer), will help our client achieve their mission of providing their customers with superior products.  It is our client’s goal to develop personnel who can help fulfill the execution of exceeding customers’ expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Provide solutions, support, and information in a manner that builds trust, confidence, and long-term business relationships with our customers and vendors.
  • Send quotations, processes POs, provide delivery updates, and manages various aspects of order processing and production operation by following the companies documented quality systems and processes.
  • Perform Contract Review process and develop a firm understanding of all sales orders requirements and identify customer needs including effectively communicating and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process sales orders that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations by working with the Engineering team to establish manufacturing processes, create and maintain Job Travelers, including identifying and communicating critical product characteristics.
  • Bid out, order, and maintain vendor materials and services.  Build relationships with approved suppliers. Initiate, process, and track internal Purchase Orders to suppliers and address any potential issues non-conformances with the Quality Team.
  • Prioritize workload and complete assigned duties efficiently and with adherence to deadlines.
  • Handle customer complaints by working with management and quality control to analyze information and evaluate the results to choose the best solution.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints including notes/material/surface treatments etc. in addition to comprehension of basic dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Essential math skills: Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, including understanding customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and possess the ability to switch focus quickly when needed and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, able to act with a sense of urgency and adhere to set deadlines.
  • Can-do attitude, self-motivated, result oriented, and a well-developed sense of drive to work independently and meet deadlines.
