AVP, Cash Management & Commercial Deposit Services (ID:41952)
One of Minnesota's largest Credit Unions is looking to bring on a cash management and deposit operations leader to spearhead and build out the products, systems, and implementations for their commercial banking clients.
This exciting position is responsible for the management and enhancement of Cash Management products, applications, and systems. Responsible for the management, development and training of the Cash Management and Commercial Deposit Operations team. Responds to and supports Cash Management Services referrals Commercial business segments in partnership with Commercial Lending staff and other functional line referral sources.  Proactively works with peers and management to build an effective strategic operational environment maximizing efficient processes and procedures. Examples of Cash Management Services products include: Digital Banking platform, Bill Pay, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile Banking, Wire transfers, ACH payment, Sweep Accounts, and Account Analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Treasury or Cash Management Services
  • Responsible for the overall performance, operations, and service delivery of the Institution’s digital banking platform as it relates to commercial payments systems and cash management
  • Enhance and Develop Cash Management services to include Business Bank Online, which includes ACH origination, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Mobile and Mobile Deposit Capture, Wire Transfers, Business Credit Cards, Merchant Services, Sweeps, Repurchase Agreements and Public Unit Deposits

Online Product Applications
  • Develop effective processes for the review of applications/contracts and collection, review, and storage of appropriate documentation to enroll businesses and Public Unit Depositors
  • Develop and enhance methodologies to demonstrate/implement/maintain Cash Management products & services for clientele, and track/monitor enrollments and identify potential opportunities to enhance and deepen clientele relationships.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain existing online, phone and in-person customer relationships
  • Handles customer inquiries and requests
  • Assess customer needs and recommend effective strategies
  • Perform Risk Analysis
  • Negotiates pricing to optimize profitability of product or service solutions
  • Conduct annual follow ups with Public Unit Depositors to ensure ongoing relationships or renegotiate their RFP
  • Primary contact for larger business depository and cash management related needs.

Risk Management
  • Partner with Management to recommend and approve secondary credit risk
  • Proactively identify changes in risk related to cash management services and take appropriate mitigating actions.
  • Develop, Enhance and Manage Risk Assessment tools
  • Develop troubleshooting parameters for Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile Deposit, Capture and ACH processes
  • Ensure compliance with all Institutional policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal banking regulations including but not limited to: BSA and OFAC requirements, Regulation E, Regulation GG, NCUA governance and ACH Rules.
Product & Systems Development
  • Makes recommendations regarding system configurations, and implements those changes as-agreed
  • Communicates status of projects and serious issues to Senior Management, and proactively recommends workarounds and viable solutions to improve customer service and responses
  • Responsible for testing all new Online products and services, as well as trouble shooting system issues

  • Directs and manages Cash Management and Commercial Deposit Operations personnel

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of Fiserv DNA Core Banking Platform
  • Knowledge of Q2 Digital Banking Platform
  • Strong project development, launch, and rollout experience 

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Certified Treasury Professional Designation
  • Accredited ACH Professional Designation
  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional Designation
