AVP Treasury Management Sales Officer (Metro Market)
Treasury Management Metro market lead opportunity with a $1B+ Minnesota community bank.

The Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for selling and supporting depository and related Treasury Management products and services to both established business clients and targeted prospective business clients.  Contribute to the Bank’s deposit growth strategies and goals; generate additional revenue from the sale of Treasury Management products and services; attain established individual, department and Bank goals through active participation in sales management and joint calls with Business Bankers. 


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Call on prospective business clients to develop new depository and related Treasury Management business.
  • Source and refer potential lending opportunities to the appropriate Business Banking team member.
  • Work closely with Business Bankers to attain fee income and deposit goals; solidify client retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service to existing customers.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFP); assess client needs and recommend effective strategies; negotiate pricing to optimize profitability of products or service solutions.
  • Prepare Treasury Management sales presentations and proposals, explain the various services offered, and identify bank services that would benefit the client.
  • Meet with existing business clients to expand existing business relationships and to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Through training and regular communication, ensure that Business Bankers, Branch Managers and other staff members are aware of Treasury Management products and sales activities.
  • Work closely and effectively with other departments of the bank to cross-sell Treasury Management products, ensure smooth working relationships and maximize customer service.
  • Develop an effective tracking system to ensure regular follow-up on targeted depository and related Treasury Management opportunities. 
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients’ needs, concerns and inquiries regarding services offered, products, fees, and operational questions.
  • Develop and manage a significant deposit portfolio consisting primarily of high deposit Business Banking customers.
  • Other objectives or duties that may be assigned.

Regulatory Compliance Requirements:

Incumbent will be responsible for meeting the requirements for all statutes/regulations pertaining to or governing their positions/departments.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in a bank sales position, preferably within a Business Banking and/or Treasury Management environment.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of depository and other systems including the way Treasury Management services are delivered to the customer.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable compliance rules and how they apply.
  • Good knowledge of systems and procedures to assist clients with the enrollment and agreement forms and product implementation.
