Job Description

Our logistics industry client is looking for a Benefits and HRIS Administrator to join their team for a 4+ month contract engagement. This Benefits and HRIS Administrator will be responsible for helping run and maintain their HRIS, administer and update employee benefit enrollment and help with payroll when needed. Our client is considered an essential business and this person will be mainly based out of their office.
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing management and audit of employee data, documentation, and system settings including maintenance of personnel files as well as company policies and procedures
  • Assist in the administration of the compensation, benefits, employee relations and training for the organization regarding benefits programs and open enrollment
  • Provides exemplary customer service through effective and proactive interaction and appropriate escalation of issues
  • Processes and administers data transactions related to hires, changes, promotions, transfers, and separations through both employee self-service and HR processes
  • Conducts routine data audits and responsible for reporting as needed
  • Produces reporting and conducts analysis of employment data at the direction of HR Management
  • Configures modules and supplemental business processes within HRIS to increase functionality
  • Troubleshoots application issues by diagnosing causes, identifying resolutions, and coordinating corrective actions, escalating issues to the HRIS provider as necessary
  • Uses analytical skills to determine and propose effective HR process improvements

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, computer science or another related field
  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS and Benefits Administration role
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes – onboarding, payroll, benefits, compensation, and salary administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to participate effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to identify critical issues from varying points of view and make timely, quality decisions in partnership with others throughout the organization
