This is an exciting, front-line sales position for all commercial deposit/investment, credit, and cash management products. Commercial business is brought into the bank through the personal interaction with customers and prospects. The loan administration unit is set up to assist in evaluating and approving. Lending authority will be given to the incumbent based on their training and experience. Requests that exceed this limit must be approved by the Dept Manager or the Officers Loan Committee. Certain requests may require approval by the Directors Credit Committee.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Establish new banking relationships with corporations, partnerships, individuals doing business, not-for-profit organizations, and associations.

Responsible for assigned floor duty to service walk-in customers

Spend a significant amount of time out of the bank in the offices of existing clients, servicing existing businesses.

Develop new business.

Calling prospective clients.

Networking within the community.

Involved with a community organization that meets CRA requirements.

Represent the bank as a good corporate citizen and networking for new business opportunities.

Work closely with customers to establish strong business relationships and cultivate customer loyalties while constantly evaluating the risks in the relationship.

Match products and services with the customer/prospect's needs and carefully evaluate the risk of entering a relationship.

Understand the business/industry the customer is in and gain a thorough knowledge of the customer/enterprise's history and plans.

Administer all loans within legal and regulatory requirements, the bank's loan policy, procedure policy, and stipulations established by the Officers Loan Committee and Directors Credit Committee.
Required Skills and Experience:

Have complete knowledge of all commercial products and services, including credit products, deposit/investment products, cash management, other commercial services, and the bank fee schedule.

Must be a team player in providing floor coverage, opening and securing the bank, and scheduling outside calls.

Active in community organizations, including service clubs and the Chamber of Commerce

Community involvement should meet CRA requirements.

A college degree and/or 5 to 10 years of job-related experience in business (commercial) lending.

The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
