An exceptionally compelling Finance Executive Leadership opportunity with a family-owned business well positioned for substantial growth.
The CFO role is responsible for leading the Finance organization and will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) providing strategic guidance to the company’s growth plans. Adapting to and promoting the Company’s culture and values is critical to the success of this position which will require a hands-on management style vs oversight only.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Finance/Accounting Team maintaining the right people in the right seats supporting the business needs.
  • Working with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to develop the annual business plan and ongoing business strategy.
  • Champion the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) business model concepts and tools within the Finance Department and the Company itself.
  • Establish and maintain financial planning scenarios as well as routine cash flow projections to facilitate strategic decision making.
  • Provide timely and accurate management reporting and highlight actions needed to stay on track with the annual business plan.
  • Provide strategic and financial support to all M&A as well as organic growth initiatives.
  • Monitor the internal control environment and establish corrective actions for any deficiencies while reporting same to the ELT.
  • Lead contract management activities, coordinating with legal counsel and Enterprise Risk to serve customers and protect the Company with clear and understandable contractual agreements.
  • Lead efforts to establish effective standard cost accounting principles that serve the needs of sales, operations, and finance.
  • Compile and submit monthly financial data and forecasting adjustments to Enterprise stake holders.
  • Provide a broad sense of projected cash and debt utilization, and promptly communicate notable disruptions to cash demand or availability to Enterprise financing.
  • Effectively partner with the Enterprise IT / IS leadership in facets of technical systems and pertinent information.
  • CFO may have deliverables for computation and execution of any high-level executive compensation plans jointly devised with Enterprise HR.
  • Primary liaison with enterprise Risk on Entity risk assessment and incorporation of risk assessment in operations and growth plans. Accountable for facilitation of insurance renewal data and key decisions impacting the Company.
  • Primary entity resource for contract term review and escalation to Enterprise Risk for insurance / indemnity provisions or outside counsel engagement. Promote awareness and execution of use of contracts / agreements with third parties.
  • Build and maintain open, honest working relationships with others, to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive financial management experience in manufacturing required, with experience in distribution or logistics will be considered.
  • Experience with M&A activities including analysis, valuation, due diligence and integration strongly preferred.
  • Broad exposure to financial & accounting disciplines including general accounting, audit, reporting, planning & analysis, budgeting, internal controls, information systems, treasury & taxation.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining standard cost accounting is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability for providing meaningful financial information to the ELT and Board.
  • Creative problem solver & a thought partner to the CEO with strong analytical & abstract reasoning skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, provide edits & input on, and negotiate contracts with vendors, and other outside entities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial information into actionable priorities for the team.
  • Experience in effectively implementing & utilizing information systems that create operational efficiencies and provides information to support business decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts to support valid conclusions and sound recommendations.
