Local entrepreneurial community bank is forming it's C-Suite to lay the foundation for extensive growth. Seeking an experienced banking Operations Executive to join as COO.

The Chief Operations Officer is an integral part of the Executive Team ensuring the bank’s customers receive excellent service while also protecting the safety and soundness of the bank. This position will be responsible for ensuring both the Deposit and Loan Operations Teams are working in tandem, fully staffed and trained, and in compliance along with management of day-to-day operations tasks and projects. Additionally, this role will ensure alignment with strategic initiatives outlined by the Board of Directors. An attention to detail and organization skills are paramount to the success of this position, along with strong communication and team building skills. A background in regulatory compliance training for banking is highly recommended along with experience in managing bank core systems.
 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of Operational Teams to ensure fully compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory/agency requirements
  • Manage the necessary training, leadership and development of all Operational Team Members
  • Ensure the core systems (JHA and PCFS) are managed to the highest level of efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Manage all third party vendors used for client services and support
  • Manage any exception tracking and escalation points as needed
  • Manage any reporting required for Board, Committee or Regulatory Requirements
  • Manage any operational requirements for audit/exams
  • Ensure JHA and PCFS reporting is developed
  • Develop and manage the Bank’s Synergy imaging program
  • Serve on various key committees such as IT Steering, Enterprise Compliance and Audit
  • Develop and maintain Bank Policies and Procedures
  • Assist with daily cash management functions and reporting as needed with correspondents
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in deposit and loan operations
  • Strong research, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, self-drive and analytical skills
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
