Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Compensation Consultant for a 4+ month engagement. This Compensation Consultant will be responsible for analyzing, assessing and implementing changes to the sales and commission driven compensation structures across the organization. The ideal candidate will be results-driven contributor who enjoys collaborating with various teams across departments.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with HR Business Partners to ensure appropriate solutions in support of business unit requirements and lead support for them
  • Participate in discussions regarding changes in the field incentive programs and provide consistent compensation and job evaluation support 
  • Analyze the market competitiveness of sales and other commission-driven compensation programs and utilize that data to deliver innovative solutions to leaders
  • Provide senior level analytical expertise for compensation programs 
  • Review, develop, communicate and implement appropriate solutions (programs, processes, tools) in support of providing an effective internal and external stakeholder experience in relation to compensation 
  • Handle complex inquiries from all levels of the organization

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related degree required
  • 5+ years of compensation experience
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills
  • Experience with payroll and HR systems required
  • Demonstrated strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Results-based self-starter with proven ability to work independently and as a strong team player
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of compensation theory, techniques, and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong problem solving, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal effectively and timely with all employees and external business contacts
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and legislation (e.g. DOL, FLSA, EEO)
  • Able to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment
