Credit Analyst (ID:41561)
A community bank client in the West Metro is looking to add a Credit Analyst to support an experienced and well-respected commercial lending team.
Perform credit analysis functions and activities as described below. These tasks are primarily related to loan officer analysis support, including pre-funding credit analysis and loan review as it relates to the ongoing monitoring of the loan portfolio. Provide loan coverage as needed and directed by the Commercial Lending team.


Assist officer in connection with commercial loan activity under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures. Develop and analyze all types of credit information pertaining to diversified types of commercial loans, prepare reports/presentations for loan officers or committees.

Develop credit information for use by lending officers of committees in making lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans:
  • Review all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other financial institutions, and bank files
  • Determine the need for more thorough investigation or additional information, an contacts appropriate sources for such information
  • Prepare all spreadsheet and financial information
  • Analyze financial statements and related material
  • Review credit file for complete documentation
  • Analyze collateral and its adequacy
  • Prepare summary, present facts and officers' opinions concerning credit worthiness to loan officers and/or committees
  • Generate and maintain various loan reports such as watch lists, Other Real Estate (ORE) reports, problem loan reports, etc. as directed or assigned

  • 1-3 years of commercial credit analysis experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Prior experience with Bank's core/main operating system: Jack Henry CIF 20/20
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Willing to be a team player with a good work ethic
  • Attend to important details; notice errors and gaps; double-check own work and correct errors before submitting
  • Knowledgeable of loan documentation requirements for all types of loans
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines that pertain to Bank's policies and loan functions
  • Excellent phone etiquette and people skills
