Role and Responsibilities:

  • Expand sales force
  • Build out sales methodology
  • Leads business development efforts in Minneapolis/St Paul and other geographic areas as we expand.
  • Understands client need and offers solutions and support.
  • Identifies business opportunities through campaigns, conferences, tradeshows, sales calls, referrals, targeting and referral partners.
    • Researches potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
    • Qualifies leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows.
    • Participates in local, state and national industry trade shows as required to grow area of responsibility.
  • Develops market partnerships to drive lead volume and generate business in regional market area.
  • Presents and delivers information to potential clients.
  • Communicates (verbally and in writing) with skilled nursing, assisted living, subacute and managed care organizations to assess market needs.
  • Communicates with other pharmacy team members (Customer Relationship Manager, Consultant Pharmacist and Pharmacy Staff) to uncover leads.
  • Tracks weekly, monthly and quarterly performance and sale metrics.
  • Creates and maintains a contact list/database of prospective clients.
    • Tracks weekly, monthly and quarterly performance and sale metrics.
    • Implements processes to continuously gather incumbent pharmacy competitor information and assures such information is promptly reflected in the company CRM system.
  • Performs other such duties as may be assigned by superiors necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the company.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, or equivalent experience in related field.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated sales experience and success required.
  • Current or prior healthcare sales experience selling directly into LTC.  A demonstrated history of consistent sales success, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, track record of improving annual production and revenue.
  • Preferred candidates will have had prior experience in long-term care: LTC facility operations, LTC pharmacy, LTC clinical operations, or other LTC sales.
  • Preferred candidates will have deep knowledge of the Twin Cities long-term care operators and relationships with multiple existing operators.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong listening skills; strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders; strong phone presence; strong presentation skills both remote and in person
  • Must have ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly; competency in commonly used Microsoft Office suite of software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and related systems including SharePoint and CRM applications.
  • An ideal candidate will have a preference for work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical to success; eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories; possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor; be self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50% (after business orientation).
