Job Description

The CFO provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and purchasing and human resource efforts of the Company. The CFO helps establish and direct the company’s financial goals and objectives. The CFO introduces strategic change and innovation that positively impact the Company. The CFO ensures all internal controls and processes are optimized.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support a “Culture of Accountability” to ensure all financial goals, budgets are achieved
  • Responsible controlling and reporting on all financial impacting activities of Company
  • Provide leadership and direction to accounting, purchasing and human resource teams
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the accounting, purchasing, credit, and human resource departments
  • Collaborates with CEO and President in overall strategies for keeping Company financially healthy
  • Lead in the implementation of strategic business and operational planning
  • Develop strategic vision for the finance departments (Accounting, Purchasing and HR)
  • Develop and implement financial control systems to assure integrity in all reporting functions and protects financial assets of the company
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Enhance and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
  • Collaborate and advise on long term business planning with Chief Operating Officer and Director of Sales
  • Establish and manage the process of financial forecasting and budgeting
  • Coach, mentor and train managers in preparing relevant budgets that facilitate good decisions
  • Responsible for all financial reporting
  • Present the financial condition of the company with knowledge and understanding
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Ensure internal controls to protect mishandling of cash and other assets
  • Develop internal controls to segregate accounting functions that optimize and protect Company
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, manage debt
  • Analyze cash flow, cost control, and expenses
  • Coordinates the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis, and information reports
  • Lead in all risk management and insurance coverages to ensure protection
  • Ensure compliance with all government agencies
  • Coordinate activities with external accounting firm for any financial reporting and tax related requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP with an emphasis on complex accounting issues, business analytics, month-end close processes with progressive responsibilities
  • Previous experience as CFO position, required
  • Technical accounting expertise, CPA certification, preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience including inventory valuation and cost accounting, required
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong technology knowledge and application
  • Must be detail orientated and able to problem solve with cross functional groups
  • Independent, predictable, deliberate and steady
  • Good decision-making process; ability to act after a reasonable amount of data gathering
  • Polished, enthusiastic, persuasive, poised, strong public speaking and sociable
  • Passion and desire to have a “career” at a growing company
