The Global Marketing Communications Manager will plan and execute strategic marketing communications plans across the organization to meet annual business objectives. This high visibility leader will oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and marketing tools to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work that aligns with business goals and priorities. 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute effective marketing communication strategies:
    • Identify opportunities where communications can help advance strategy, address issues or strengthen alignment or collaboration and deliver communication programs/messages to achieve business goals
    • Develop product positioning and marketing messages that successfully differentiate products in the market
    • Develop and execute marketing communications campaigns to support product launches, market expansions and other marketing plans
    • Successfully leverage digital media, social media and emerging technology
    • Build relationships and networks to advance communication strategy and activities
    • Develop budgets and timelines and manage progress and expenses within plan parameters
    • Develop and track appropriate metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communications plans, messages and channels/vehicles
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention:
    • Identify optimal communications channels for reaching key targets in new markets and promoting new products
    • Oversee the development of tools to support customer retention
    • Develop and execute content marketing communications strategy to attract and retain key targets
    • Consider development of Direct-to-Patient/Direct-to-Consumer marketing communications strategy 
  • Lead Marketing Communications:
    • Provide leadership and direction to drive accountability within the Marketing Communications function
    • Direct inside and outside resources to create exciting, high quality work that exemplifies and strengthens the brand
    • Manage marcom project plans to ensure projects are completed on time 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally with marketing or communications focus
  • 7-10 years of experience in medical device communications role required
  • Understanding of insurance and reimbursement within medical device
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing campaigns
  • Experience with media planning and buying
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+
  • Effective leadership skills in influence management & developing and managing others
  • Proven project management skills with ability to work within project budgets and timelines
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies
  • Global mindset
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
