Job Description

The Director of Human Resources, who reports to the Chief Strategy Officer, will lead the development of company-wide recruiting programs, employee engagement, HR department administration, talent development and onboarding/offboarding activities. This position will play an important role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within the organization. resolving employee relations issues, developing and driving company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, workforce planning, and organizational change).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the HR business partner for the CVRx worldwide team as we continue our rapid organizational growth.
  • Manage and lead HR processes and best practices – headcount planning, hiring, onboarding, training, offboarding, performance management, promotions, compensation and benefits, HRIS etc.
  • Negotiate and prepare offer letters / employment agreements and distribute for execution by candidates.
  • Lead the development and the continuous improvements to our current fringe benefit program.
  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in HR to guide CVRx in developing solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Implement key strategic HR processes, policies, procedures, and tools that promote a healthy work environment.
  • Proactively identify organizational needs and offer solutions to drive organizational and employees' success.
  • Support employee’s development and growth – coaching managers to support people building careers, identify training needs for teams and individuals, and drive talent management programs to help people navigate their career
  • Partner with other departments to deploy and execute HR programs and strategies.
  • Drive our efforts around diversity and inclusion
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with our legal firms as needed / required.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, counseling process, other employee concerns and exit interviews.
  • Assist in managing the performance evaluation process.
  • Participate as needed in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures; maintain the Employee Handbook and Company policies.
  • Maintain employee records, perform administrative / recordkeeping tasks including, Leaves of Absence, Workers Compensation claims, etc.
  • Maintain HR records and compile reports as necessary.
  • Assist as needed with recruiting, job fairs, coordinating interviews and job postings for open positions; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Handle all employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Completion of COVID 19 vaccination protocol

  • Proficiency with or the ability to implement and learn a HRIS and talent management systems.
