Join a growing HR Team as an HR Generalist. Work with a diverse group of emplpyees on recruiting, onboarding, learning and development and HR support accross mulitple functions! Work for a mission driven company that creates products to save lives everyday.
In this position you will drive HR excellence by carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, system administration, safety, backup payroll and benefits, and HR projects as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Be a strategic business partner to business leaders to support the execution of business objectives.
  • Implement initiatives that help engage and retain a high performing workforce and enhance the culture.
  • Advise business leaders on effective leadership practices to manage their staff and create a rewarding and engaging culture.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on issues affecting morale, performance, personal and professional development, and overall employee satisfaction.
  • Recruit top talent to fill vacant positions within assigned employee groups as well as owning the full-cycle talent acquisition process and employment brand.
  • Creates and coordinates summer internship program.
  • Design and conduct onboarding for newly hired employees, ensuring a positive experience
  • Manage LMS system to include optimizations and efficiencies, annual required training, training record reporting, keep training library current.
  • Partner with functional experts on the establishment and facilitation of employee training needs including new employee orientation, employee development and cross-training.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Counsel managers and employees on performance and administer the continuous performance management systems.
  • Champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture aligned with the companies vision, mission, and values
  • Maintain and update HR communications platforms.
  • Responsible for backup partner for payroll. Such as reviewing and verifying hours and pay for accuracy; processing payroll in HRIS; maintaining accurate records; responding to payroll questions; verifying employee changes into payroll system.
  • Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging systems and tools to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.
  • Manages reporting including Affirmative Action and other HR reports.
  • Perform HR administrative work such as all system administration, maintaining electronic personnel files, processing new hires/terms/org changes, and employee survey creation.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices

Required Experience and Skills: 
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources role
  • Experience working with HR systems, including payroll, LMS, Applicant Tracking, and/or Performance Management.
  • Talent Acquisition experience, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment laws, human resources theory, practices and legal requirements
  • Skill in developing and delivering effective presentations
  • Ability to build relationships, establish credibility and influence all levels of the organization
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize time/workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
  • MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinking to drive outcomes that align and enable the business’ goals.
