Job Description

Our client in the retail industry is looking for an experienced HR Project Manager to join their team for a 4+ month engagement. This HR Project Manager will be providing project management for a variety of initiatives. This HR Project Manager will be partnering with the business to define and deliver HR programs and services related to HRIS implementations, change management, performance management and more.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of key HR projects and initiatives, i.e. M&A activity, process improvement efforts, and program roll-outs
  • Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
  • Define, measure and monitor project controls & progress to identify variances from the plan and resolve issues as appropriate
  • Provides insight regarding people, organizational dynamics and the business and translates this insight into business objectives
  • Creates, documents, maintains and enhances data sets to analyze trends affecting workforce representation, hiring, turnover, and other employee-related data
  • Uses varied analytical tools (including statistics, modeling, analytics and mapping) to derive meaningful and insights to inform reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc projects
  • Brings new analytical methods, tools, and data sets into the department to build our knowledge base and skillset
  • Guides strategic communication within HR partnering with other stakeholders

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • 7+ years of HR and/or relevant business experience 
  • Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology, tools, and best practices
  • Possess strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and be able to evaluate broad impacts of within project activities
  • Experience anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity 
  • Advanced Excel skills, including tables and graphing, database skills, and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and influence key stakeholders 
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a lean environment 
  • Competence in connecting people to each other and the business strategy, leveraging technology and processes where appropriate
