Job Description

Our client in the professional services industry is looking for an HR Business Partner with Learning and Development experience to join their team for a 2+ month engagement. Our client is in downtown Minneapolis. Ideally this HR Business Partner will have experience helping to take their current Talent Acquisition goals and map them with current business and help forecast what the future needs will be. This HR Business Partner will also be facilitating some learning and development courses and helping to evaluate and change them to meet the needs of various business units.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing day to day support regarding human resources and aligning business objectives with employees, managers and leadership
  • Leverages best practices and participates in collaboration within the HR organization
  • Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders and facilitating long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic goals
  • Develop strong partnerships and confidently consult with clients and key partners to create and deliver learning strategy recommendations using both training, and non-training solutions
  • Possesses working knowledge of HR policies and procedures as well as federal, state/province and local laws
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on Human Resources experience
  • Coaching approach to working with employees and managers at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with interpreting and providing guidance on HR policies
  • Ability to interact and influence all levels of organization with confidence, building trust and rapport
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance working independently with being a collaborative team member
