Job Description

Our client in the retail industry is looking for an experienced Human Resources Buisness Partner to join their team for a 4+ month engagement. This HRBP will be supporting assigned business groups and should be able to provide expertise and guidance regarding organizational development, performance management, compensation, succession planning and more.  This candidate should have experience with managing the day-to-day  HR needs in a sales and field environment and  being the go-to HR professional for employees and managers.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing day to day support regarding human resources and aligning business objectives with employees, managers and leadership
  • Leverages best practices and participates in collaboration within the HR organization
  • Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders and facilitating long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic goals
  • Partners with leaders to create and train on practices that proactively minimizes employee relations issues and drive company performance
  • Partner with the business when dealing with the overall people strategy including such areas as performance reviews, organizational design, change management, leadership and employee development, talent acquisition, compensation strategies, talent management, employee relations and processes such as recruiting
  • Assists in driving projects within HR and within the business ensuring timely deliverables
  • Partner with key stakeholders and internal partners to facilitate the employee engagement survey and performance planning process


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on Human Resources experience
  • Coaching approach to working with employees and managers at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with interpreting and providing guidance on HR policies
  • Ability to interact and influence all levels of organization with confidence, building trust and rapport
  • HRIS experience, SAP preferred
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance working independently with being a collaborative team member
