Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist partners with employees and business leaders to ensure HR strategies are executed and align with business objectives. The incumbent will serve as a consultant to leaders on human resource-related matters and act as an employee champion and change agent. The HR Generalist assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.

  • Communicate needs proactively with HR colleagues and business management, and seek to develop integrated solutions
  • Form partnerships across the business to deliver service to leaders and employees
  • Administer the employee engagement survey; incorporate feedback mechanisms and metrics into plans to measure and increase impact
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Partner with Leadership to aid in the design and execution of individual career development plans
  • Encourage the solicitation of employee input and feedback and serve as an advocate for employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Develop and lead innovative communication plans to influence employee engagement, build culture, and support business initiatives
  • Draft and deliver communications throughout human resources and companywide
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Organizational support & planning for various events, retreats, engagement activities, annual picnic etc.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development)
  • Partner with the Human Resources Manager HRM to troubleshoot and resolve benefit plan needs actions
  • Act as point of contact and advisor to employees for retirement planning
  • Encourage the solicitation of employee input and feedback and serve as an advocate for all employees
  • Support and encourage use of the Open-Door philosophy, refer employees to the appropriate party(s)
  • Use conflict management skills to aid in resolving employee issues and keep management informed of key issues and trends
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal resources as needed/required
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Conduct and organize leadership training for supervisors
  • Create training materials, manuals, job aids, and other learning resources
  • Participate in development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of training programs to ensure success

?Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated working experience in Human Resources required; 3+ years with of organizational development desired

Additional Qualifications:

  • Masters’ degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including training and development, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Ability to analyze, question, and identify key issues as they relate to human resources
  • Ability to create and redefine processes and procedures to align with Company goals
  • Experience with ADP HRIS
  • Experience managing multiple priorities  
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with employees at all levels, and outside vendors
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
