Interim Change Management Consultant

This Interim Change Lead opportunity is ideal for an experienced change management professional who thrives in complex, enterprise-wide transformations. You’ll play a critical role in leading the people side of a large-scale learning platform implementation, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive readiness, adoption, and long-term success. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by shaping how employees engage with new technology, building sustainable change strategies, and influencing organizational effectiveness at scale.

The Interim Change Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end change management efforts tied to an enterprise LMS replacement. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive change strategy, conducting stakeholder and impact assessments, and aligning change initiatives with overall project plans. The consultant will work closely with L&D, HRIS, IT, and business leaders to ensure employees are prepared, supported, and equipped throughout the transition.

Worksite Location: Onsite - Minneapolis, MN

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $70-$90, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of a comprehensive change management strategy
  • Conduct stakeholder assessments, impact analyses, and readiness evaluations
  • Design and execute communication and engagement plans, including messaging and leadership materials
  • Integrate change management activities into the overall project plan and timeline
  • Establish and track readiness and adoption metrics; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Build and enable a Change Champion network to support awareness and adoption
  • Support training, rollout, and post-go-live sustainment activities
  • Develop feedback loops, surveys, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Provide reporting and insights on adoption, utilization, and overall change effectiveness

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise change management initiatives, especially for system or platform implementations
  • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption strategy
  • Experience with structured change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter) preferred
  • Ability to translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable plans
  • Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams (L&D, HRIS, IT, business leaders)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Experience supporting LMS or learning platform implementations is highly preferred
