IT Director
We are seeking a seasoned IT Director for our Global Manufacturing client in the east metro. The primary focus of this position will be to optimize the IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity resilience and lead the IT PMO with Governance to achieve and modernize the established enterprise environment.
For this Global organization, you will be key in fostering collaboration across US, UK, EU, and APAC teams.
You will be responsible for extracting maximum value from the legacy systems while strategically integrating cloud efficiencies where they make the most sense. The ideal candidate excels at "tuning the engine"—improving performance, reducing technical debt, and ensuring foundational systems are rock-solid.

Required Qualifications
Category Requirement
Experience 12+ years in IT, with a proven track record of managing enterprise-scale legacy environments and global teams
Systems Deep experience with Windows/Linux Server environments, legacy database management, cloud systems vendor selection and cost optimization in a hybrid environment
Networking Strong background in traditional switching, routing, vendor selection and monitoring
Optimization Demonstrated ability to reduce OpEx through system tuning and vendor negotiation
Cyber Security Experience with CS frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001 etc.) and CY as a service model to help select right offerings and ongoing service monitoring
Act as an internal technical lead for incident response, own technical business continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for IT
Experience with Providers Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), control/KPI management and escalations
Helpdesk Manage and guide internal end user support teams with proper ITIL processes and provide KPI reports to management as needed
PMO IT project management principals. Focus on details and tasks to ensure smooth project execution with high level of engagement and enforcement. Deliver on time and under budget, knowing where to press or escalate
Governance Change Control Board process to review new IT requests. Implement checklists for new IT platforms or services

  • Technical Debt Management: A pragmatic approach to deciding when to "patch and protect" versus when to "replace and migrate."
  • Lifecycle Planning: Master of hardware refresh cycles and managing EOL (End of Life) transitions without business disruption.
  • Hybrid Strategy: Ability to manage a "Cloud-Smart" (rather than Cloud-First) approach, integrating SaaS or IaaS only where it adds clear value.
  • Detail Oriented, Execution Focused: Strategy important but a candidate needs to be able to execute first and deliver.
  • Change Agent: Actively communicate proposed changes and how this would benefit business overall. Lead with examples and integrity. Under promise & over delivery.
