Roles and Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities of production departments in processing materials or manufacturing products.
- Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Openly communicate issues with purchasing for resolution prior to detrimental effect on production
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Analyze and report on employee productivity and overtime.
- Work within budgetary guidelines and time constraints.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Review with Sales Team to ensure full understanding of orders to be built.
- Review weekly updates with Sales as to what is sold, meet sales production goals, weekly, monthly and yearly.
- In coordination with company leaders, resolve worker grievances.
- Compile stores and retrieve production data.
- Suggest improvements.
- Manage the administration of established health and safety policies including “Right to Know”, respirator training, emergency response and others.
- Help manage the hazardous waste program, executing requirements and keeping appropriate documentation current and accurate.
- Supervise all employees within Purchasing, Customer Service, Production and Paint Departments.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or Operations Management.
- Training in Total Quality Management.
- Lean training and experience applying tools.
- Experience working in a metric driven manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience or indirect leadership/influencer.
- Passion for powersports, cars, camping, off roading, trucks, or camping would be a great connection!
