The primary purpose of the Pre-Construction Manager is to sell mechanical construction projects to owners and general contractors. The secondary purpose is to cost effectively manage the pre-construction phase of the mechanical construction projects sold.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Procure construction work:
- Maintain relationships with general construction clients and building owners.
- Focus on generating new relationships and opportunities within the marketplace focusing on design-build/design-assist.
- Work with the estimating team in providing pricing proposals and responding to RFPs.
- Meet or exceed personal annual sales goals.
Pre-Construction Management of work procured:
- Represent the Company with all entities (general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, parallel trades) in the pre-construction phase of projects sold.
- Manage the generation of a set of mechanical construction documents, with the internal design team, that meet the project requirements while meeting or beating the budget constraints.
- Procure large equipment profitably.
- Manage a seamless hand off to the construction team.
- Maintain a presence throughout a project to assure the Company’s goals are satisfied.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Minimum of 8 years mechanical experience including cost estimating and design.
- Knowledge of mechanical system alternatives, including, their first costs, operating costs, user benefits and user challenges.
- History of mechanical construction sales success.
- Ability to self-manage, self-motivate, and prioritize tasks.
- Resiliency and collaborative management style.
