We are working with an Industry leader who provides services and products across the US.  Headquartered in St. Paul, this exciting company is continuing a fast track for growth.  Private Equity backed, they have a planned strategy for growth organically and through acquisitions.
The Purchasing Manager role is an exciting opportunity to build our client’s purchasing organization, with high visibility and impact on company processes, your team and profitability. This position manages contracts, purchasing, inventory and vendor relationships and reports to the Division President. This is an on-site role.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for processes improvements, software automation or other opportunities to execute against negotiated supplier contracts while optimizing time and procedures. improvements, working with Corporate Supply Chain Leader. 
  • Communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare reports as requested or assigned by management and/or leadership. 
  • Ensure correct data is entered into systems.  
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance and accounting, IT, and other managers to provide resolutions to system tools and discrepancies in data.  
  • Manage agreements with Suppliers and/or Contractors.
  • Oversee RFQ’s, assist and direct selection process.  
  • Develop and maintain supplier list in coordination with Supply Chain Leader. 
  • Ensure all documentation is recorded and maintained for tracking and auditing purposes. 
  • Maintain inventory levels and overall control.  
  • Partner with the team and peers to analyze and determine optimal inventory levels and profitability of parts pricing.  
  • Streamline allocation of inventories across organization.
  • Develop reporting for leadership related to buying and inventory metrics, upon request of Leadership and/or Supply Chain Manager. 
  • Lead, train, and direct purchasing team, including 15 people.
  • Train team members on updated processes, retrain as appropriate. 
  • Responsibility for team’s KPI’s.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Supply Chain and/or purchasing experience required. 
  • Supervising experience ideal.
  • Sage ERP experience ideal.
