Risk Insurance Analyst
A key role working and partnering with various stakeholders throughout the enterprise to ensure asset protection and integrity, evaluate risk of loss and provide consultative recommendations for coverage.
Works closely with the Vice President - Treasury to safeguard the organization’s assets by identifying, evaluating, addressing and monitoring organizational risks through both its commercial insurance program and its captive insurance company. The Risk Insurance Analyst works with insurance brokers, commercial insurers and the organization’s captive insurance company and takes the lead on the Owners Controlled Insurance program (OCIP) for the Vision Northland Project (VNL.) This position assists the Vice President - Treasury with identifying and evaluating organizational risks of loss and formulating appropriate insurance coverage recommendations for the self-insurance and commercial insurance programs. This position takes a lead role in ensuring that coverage applications, policies, records and reports are complete and accurate and gathers required exposure data and complete applications for new and renewal insurance policies including the OCIP and surety bonds. This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate schedule of property locations, property statement of values, and works with other organizational staff as needed in maintaining vehicle list and driver roster. Work Experience: 2 years’ experience in risk management, commercial insurance and/or self-insurance experience Ability to safeguard sensitive information and effectively manage projects, deadlines and priorities Captive insurance and / or health care experience preferred.
Bachelors degree in in accounting, business, finance, or insurance.

Insurance designation, such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred.
