Sales Director (ID:41642)
Are you a successful executive selling brands into large retail chains in the homewares or personal care categories? Are you excited by the opportunity to get in at ground level with a very successful European business entering the US market with powerful brands? This may be the role for you!
You will be our first US based executive selling our brands into large US retailers. You will be selling from a US warehouse and DDP containers and FOB in the future when possible as business evolves. You will work with our e-commerce team, converting online success into instore sales opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Build the US markets business
  • Your first line target customers: Work with our existing e-commerce team to understand which large retailers we are already selling online successfully and seek to leverage this success across to instore sales;
  • Your second line target customers: Leverage your network and experience to set up sales meetings with the relevant buyers of our categories with major retail buyers plus any other channels you might know. Examples might include:
    • Clubs: Costco, Sams Club, BJ’s
    • General merchandise: Target, BestBuy, Home Depot, Lowes, BB&B
    • Food retail: Walmart, HEB, Publix, Krogers, Albertsons, Aldi, Ahold Delhaize
    • Discount: TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, HomeSense, Marshalls
  • Co-ordinate with our 3PL partner and company's HQ
  • Co-ordinate with e-commerce team to make joint recommendations to PD and Sourcing departments regarding:
    • Replenishment orders
    • New product ideas
  • Liaise between your customers HQ on any and all needs required to close sales.
Required Skills and Experience:    
  • Have significant experience selling products/brands successfully into large retailers in either of our categories
  • Are an entrepreneur at heart and love the idea of getting in on day one and building (y)our business together in the US market (potential for Canada and Latin America later)
  • Are a self starter, able to “get out there and do your thing”, requiring minimal interference but maximum support from Head Office
