Sales Engineer (ID:44706)

Provide Engineering support for the sale of custom air handling equipment.  Support Independent Sales Representatives by providing engineering designs, quotes, and project management support on all assigned jobs.
Successful candidate will provide quotes on equipment designs to support the sales efforts of the Independent Sales Representatives. As part of the quoting process, review plans and specs to create a detailed cost estimate and performance approximation. Once a job is won, serve as project manager for the job starting with providing a detailed design submittal, supporting manufacturing with detailed drawings and BOMs, and ensuring an on-time shipment of the equipment.  Project completion will happen once the equipment has been successfully started up at the customer’s site.
Travel is infrequent and less than 10%

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with fellow engineers to review submittal documents and implement changes to standard processes.
  • Serve as the company specialist on assigned components and technologies. 
  • Work with vendors to stay on top of new technologies and their related design requirements for equipment. 
  • Provide support as required on assigned design engineering tools.
  • Review new vendor product offerings and support as needed their implementations into designs.
  • Participate as needed with Customer visit and presentations.
     
Required Skills & Experience:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred
  • SolidWorks or other CAD software proficiency
  • Detail-oriented, ability to plan, organize, set priorities and manage multiple projects
  • High level of analytical ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel independently
