Salesforce Developer

This Salesforce Developer will have the overall responsibility for providing support to our sales, service and marketing organizations through the customization and configuration of the Salesforce platform. The position will help us run the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud). The ideal candidate will be an efficient teammate that is able to operate independently as well as in a collaborative environment helping to develop, test and implement new functionality that streamlines processes and builds overall confidence and capability into our evolving ecosystem of solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and customize Salesforce applications used by the organization, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a new Net Zero Cloud organizational instance
  • Handle Salesforce security, including roles, profiles, sharing rules, flows, and groups
  • Build custom reports, dashboards, and flows
  • Integrate and maintain Salesforce data connections to keep data flowing in the organization
  • Work with team members and business stakeholders to design and develop new solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Lead operational requests and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain database for integrity and accuracy including cleansing and duplicate record management
  • Build Objects, Custom Objects, and fields in Salesforce
  • Lead data migrations into Salesforce
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to resolve functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users
  • Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible work (requirements specifications, design work you're doing, status reports, project plans)
  • Apply standard methodologies to perform operational support, improvements, bug fixes as needed
  • Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
  • Provide technical assistance and end user problem solving for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance.
  • Be able to communicate development progress to senior management
  • Develop user acceptance testing plans, including use cases
  • Collaborate with Distributors on Salesforce to Salesforce connections
  • Automate business processes based on feedback from users and customers

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience working on Salesforce platforms
  • 2+ years as a Salesforce Hands on experience with data integration tools such as Boomi and Informatica
  • Hands-on experience with database management tools, such as Ring Lead or DemandTools
  • Software engineering skills including Apex, LWC, SOQL, Unit Testing
  • Key skills/qualities include data management, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • At least one Salesforce certification, “Salesforce Platform Developer or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, etc.”
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Extensive experience in administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and functionalities
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases and data modelling
  • Proficiency in crafting Salesforce profiles, allocating roles, and managing access
  • Proficiency in importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports
  • Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support.
  • Experience with email marketing campaigns and conversion rate optimization a plus
  • Experience maintaining Salesforce databases
  • Experience transitioning from workflows and Process Builder into Salesforce Flow
  • Experience in ensuring successful Salesforce upgrades and integrations
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban
  • Salesforce API experience
