Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales efforts by providing technical expertise, innovative solutions, and exceptional customer support. Your deep understanding of engineering principles, combined with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will contribute to achieving sales targets and fostering lasting client relationships.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify potential clients and opportunities, participating in pre-sales discussions and presentations.
  • Assess customer needs and specifications, translating them into comprehensive technical proposals and design concepts that align with our product offerings.
  • Create detailed engineering designs, drawings, and prototypes to illustrate the feasibility and functionality of proposed solutions, ensuring they meet both client requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation to clients on product capabilities, customization options, and integration possibilities, effectively addressing technical queries and concerns.
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluations of customer inquiries, analyzing project feasibility, risks, and costs to prepare accurate quotations and project estimates.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and project management to ensure seamless execution of projects from concept to delivery.
  • Participate in technical negotiations and discussions with clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of product specifications, features, and value propositions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to provide insights that enhance our product development and sales strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers within the sales design team, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer, preferably in a senior role, with a track record of successful project implementations.
  • Strong background in engineering design principles and methodologies, with the ability to create accurate technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric mindset, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of assessing technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Results-driven attitude with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership qualities and a willingness to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
