Supply Chain Planning Manager

Our client is looking for a leader to help formalize their S&OP process, which includes long term (3-24 month) planning across demand, capacity and supply. While this is mostly forward looking, the person will be responsible for historical reporting within these areas. Works closely with other cross functional managers to support the long-term vision of the company. Manages supply chain planning staff. Subject matter expert in ERP systems. Requires planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Builds, manages and leads the 24-month S&OP process across the enterprise.
  • Works closely with sales on forecasting and demand planning.
  • Manages and maintains the long-term capacity models for all lines.
  • Works hand in hand with the Sourcing Manager to ensure a consistent supply of material for production.
  • Provide supply chain analysis and reporting on all areas of planning.
  • Leads and manages a supply chain planner that handles the tactical planning.
  • Supports the executive team during the year end budgeting process.
  • Ensures the ERP is updated on a regular cadence and is accurate.
  • Develops plans to reduce Working Capacity of raw and finished goods.
  • Works with R&D and Sales to ensure new product launch dates are met.
  • Manages mid-year and year end finished goods inventory.
  • Key contact for department questions on ERP system & processes.
  • Responsible for tracking performance against plan; prepare & present reports to management as requested.
  • Develop and implement procedures to optimize workflow within department.
  • Develop & implement procedures to ensure ERP system is utilized properly.??
  • Cross functional collaboration and communication with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and the Warehouse to ensure product is released and shipped in alignment with customer delivery dates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Operations, Supply Chain or Business.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production planning role.
  • 3 + years supervisory experience.
