An established and growing company is looking to backfill its recently promoted Tech Support Specialist. This Tech Support position is a crucial part of the IT team, providing in-person and virtual assistance to the office and its members.
 
Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Manage daily hardware tasks, including installation, updates, and maintenance of devices.
  • Monitor, respond to, and resolve issues within designated SLAs.
  • Track and maintain hardware inventory.
  • Set up and configure new workstations, applications, and security permissions.
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support IT Manager/Director on various projects as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a technical support role.
  • Preferred certifications: COMPTIA A+ or similar.
  • Preferred knowledge: ITIL or ITSM or similar frameworks
  • Attention to detail and a great problem solver.
  • Experience in customer service with a positive attitude toward helping internal/external customers.
  • Answer and/or escalate support tickets via phone, email, and chat.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating system: installation, troubleshooting, updating.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues with devices such as Phones, PCs, Servers, Laptops, and Tablets.
  • Experience with installing network printers and troubleshooting printing operation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. -- to set up and move computer and server equipment.
  • Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Cloud services, SaaS Applications.
  • Basic working knowledge of networking, VPN, and cyber security.
  • Create and update non-technical and technical documentation for Tier 1 Support.
