The right candidate must have a drive to succeed in a competitive landscape and must be able to sell VALUE, as our products tend to be on the mid to higher end of price due to quality and service. An ideal candidate will have experience in selling products that are positioned similarly.
Roles and Responsibilities:
There is a defined sales process that has proven to be successful over the years. The person must be creative in their approach on how to open doors, but then willing to follow the proven, organized process. This process is centered around “selling” a face-to-face 3-hour walk through of the line and collections, selling during the presentation, maximizing every call, and listening carefully to what customers are looking for (both products and services).
This person visits customers with a case filled with product lines. Must be confident in their ability to sell and also be smart and responsible with company product. This will be done by having a well thought-out plan to grow current accounts, add new accounts where needed and by effectively executing the plan by spending the majority of time in front of customers.
The Territory Manager will be using an iPad for giving presentations, taking orders and reporting orders, so candidate can’t be afraid of utilizing technology effectively…
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years in retail or 5 years of managing a sales territory
- Instinctive selling skills and relationship building at numerous levels
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Not afraid to ask for business

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of how retail businesses operate (inventory, stocking, stock balancing, what makes them successful, etc.)
- Pleasantly persistent and tactful approach
- Experience selling face-to-face with customers in a more transactional manner
