Job Description

Reporting the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Total Rewards and HR Operations creates and delivers total rewards strategies within the region and serves as a consultant globally. The incumbent leads the systems, payroll and HR analytics for the region and provides a sustainable base for building people strategies.  As a key member of the Americas organization, you will interface locally and globally enabling the organization to achieve our performance goals, culture goals, and create a foundation for continued growth.

  • Provide innovative vision and leadership for total rewards that focus on the employee experience
  • Provide thought leadership and lead the design, build and scaling of Total Rewards; including compensation philosophy and structure, incentive plans, and benefits strategy focused on attracting and retaining key talent across an increasingly diverse business and workforce
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative analytics in collaboration with Finance to support development of cost-effective benefit programs
  • Lead a dynamic team
  • Oversee the design and administration of compensation programs including base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning, stock plan, and market analysis
  • Build strong partnerships with HR colleagues, the business, and external partners to help identify, develop and accomplish initiatives within the function.
  • Serve as the primary contact for business partners that enable the Human Resources team to deliver excellent service
  • Develop and own an annual budget for areas of responsibility and work with department leaders and staff to implement the budget
  • Develop strategy, build and manage an analytics model which enables data-driven decision making
  • Use analytics to help the business identify workforce trends and opportunities
  • Travel up to 20%


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; or relevant work experience
  • 5-10 years of total rewards / HR analytics experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and/or facilitating large scale and effective change initiatives
  • Systems experience, as well as having previous experience supporting Canada and the US
  • Thrive in an environment that is extremely fast-paced, creative and collaborative yet holds individuals responsible and accountable
  • Provide guidance and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges
  • Experience leading cross-functional work teams to achieve business results
  • Capacity to overcome barriers and make impactful change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate multi-dimensional concepts in a simple way to diverse audiences
  • Program management and implementation experience
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and carry out well-defined assignments according to established guidelines with little to no supervision
  • Ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
  • Ability to draw conclusions from data in a logical, systematic way
  • Lead by example on accountability, influencing, and effectively managing change in complex organizations
