Our retained client is a $50MM private equity owned manufacturing company that is very well established and financially healthy. The company has aggressive growth plans and is looking for a dynamic sales leader that can build on the existing foundation. They are currently a brand leader within their industry and are looking to build on their success.

Job Description

Job Description: 
This role is responsible for oversight of the strategy and day to day activities of the existing sales and marketing teams with a focused effort on revenue growth and market penetration.  This person will build the strategy for the team to sell both direct and through an indirect sales force to develop new and underdeveloped markets.  He/She will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all internal Sales and Marketing activities as well as collaborating with other members of the leadership team.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Execute a sales and marketing strategy that is consistent with company values and leads to revenue growth
  • Establish clear sales goals and metrics that measure that success
  • Analyze competitive marketplace and identify market trends
  • Provide accurate forecasting of profit and volume  
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team
  • Provide leadership and support to the sales and marketing teams
  • Evaluate current strategies and adjust where necessary to meet customers’ needs

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4-year degree required
  • Experience creating, building, and executing a plan for revenue growth
  • Proven track record of leading and managing direct and indirect sales
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing
  • 10+ years’ experience sales in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • 7+ years’ experience managing sales professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and grow revenue
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc)
  • Must currently reside or be willing to commute to West/Central MN (no relo)

  • Advanced degree or MBA
  • High energy level that is contagious
  • Experience with Private Equity firms

Knowledge of E-Commerce and how to leverage
