Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources is a member of the senior management team and is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the Company’s business plan and strategic direction, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The HRVP directs the people functions of the organization.  

  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes
  • Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategy and operational plans
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of employee programs and strategies
  • Establish HR departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures
  • Develop and manage the human resources budget
  • Maintain an appropriate HR organizational structure that supports the needs of the business
  • Develop progressive recruiting and staffing strategies for identifying, selecting, and developing talent
  • Develop programs to engage and retain employees
  • Develop programs to support diversity and inclusion
  • Compensation, Benefits and Regulatory Management
  • Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefit programs
  • Evaluate, enhance and adjust all company-provided and voluntary benefits to maintain cost-effective benefits
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all compensation and welfare programs against comparable companies and markets
  • Develop, enhance, communicate, implement and uphold Company human resources policies and procedures
  • Perform primary approval of payroll; employee terminations
  • Enhance employees’ understanding of, and alignment with, company goals through written communications and employee meetings
  • Oversee and ensure timely communications to employees on events and topics that enhance the desired culture
  • Advise and guide leadership team in defining and creating desired company culture
  • Enhance manager effectiveness through the identification, development and deployment of needed training
  • Initiate leadership development activities and programs such as succession planning, career development planning, leader coaching, etc.
  • Lead and manage the human resources team
  • Travel occasionally to remote work locations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in HR field
  • 7 or more years in a leadership role
  • 7 or more years’ experience in strategic planning and execution

Additional Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Proven experience in HR planning, organization, and development
  • Ability to partner with executives and build positive working relationships with employees at all levels
  • Ability to set and manage priorities
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to HR
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
