Roles & Responsibilities:

Agency Profitability & Growth

  • Monitor, operate and optimize the business to meet or exceed AMI agency metric national benchmarks
  • Support the Director of Client Services and the Account Management team in analyzing accounts and projects to ensure scope and budgetary goals track appropriately, as well as, meeting client account growth goals
  • Support the Directors of Delivery in managing labor costs and the buildout of internal and contractor options at varying price points to service clients while maximizing profitability
  • Work with the President and Director of Sales to ensure that delivery requirements are being represented in the sales process

Management of Delivery Leadership Team

  • Be the leader of the Delivery Leadership Team
  • Manage 4 direct reports (Director of Client Services, Content/Creative, Digital, Automation/Technology)
  • Mentor and develop current staff, while identifying new talent when appropriate
  • Cultivate a work environment that maintains the highest possible level of performance throughout the agency

Delivery Organizational Structure Accountability

  • Understand strengths and weaknesses of SME’s both internally and externally throughout the entire delivery organizational structure
  • Work with Directors of Delivery to build high performing teams that exceed the expectations of our Clients
  • Be the ultimate decision maker in the hiring process and take accountability for overarching team management/structure to ensure each person fits “Get it, Want it, Capacity to perform”
  • Make decisions based on Client needs and AMI best practices which roles are mission critical internally and which roles can be filled by contractors

Business & Marketing Strategy

  • High level of knowledge to support the Director of Client Services and the Account Management team with Clients on taking business goals and making sure marketing strategies are presented to exceed Client expectations for results that actually move the needle
  • Participate when necessary with Director of Client Services on Key Accounts to ensure both employee and Client are supported from a strategic standpoint
  • Participate in specific strategy meetings with Director’s of Delivery to sell the story and create presentations/tools/best practices that bring a WOW factor

Overarching Subject Matter Expert

  • Through experience as a subject matter expert in various disciplines throughout your career, be able to thoroughly understand and hold the team accountable to subject matter expertise.
  • Create testing/standardization in the hiring process to ensure new hires can articulate and perform their job duties at a level of excellence
  • Set quarterly goals for internal team members that help them grow as SME’s in their roles by identifying areas of opportunity and holding them accountable to improvement and growth
  • Have a thorough understanding of how all the pieces fit together to drive results and build the internal team to meet expectations of services regularly provided while leveraging your network of external SME’s for projects that are provided on a lesser scale
     

Required Skills & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience working in a digital marketing agency setting
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic agency operator
  • Proven experience growing and managing a leadership team
  • Proven ability to build out the organizational structure of an agency delivery team
  • Progressive growth and responsibility as a subject matter expert across multiple disciplines within an agency
  • Ability to take business initiatives of clients and translate them into strategic marketing initiatives that drive real results
  • B2B and B2C agency marketing experience preferred
  • Intense desire to excel in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills
  • Extremely driven individual that takes initiative, is proactive, detail-oriented and manages their time well
