Shareen leads the Human Resources team and is responsible for the development and execution of strategic human resources strategies and initiatives for RBC Wealth Management – U.S.
Shareen and her team support the RBC Wealth Management – U.S. business through design and execution of HR programs that support employees and give them the tools they need to succeed. The team provides guidance on all aspects of human resources, including talent management, employee development, performance enablement, organizational design, change management, compensation, and diversity and inclusion. Shareen’s expertise, energy and passion for people is evidenced by her ability to develop and implement HR programs to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented workforce.
Shareen joined RBC in 2006 as associate general counsel. She transitioned to human resources in 2008, becoming director of the U.S. Employee Relations team, and took on additional responsibilities for workplace risk management in 2012. In that role, she led a diverse team responsible for managing workplace risk and supporting employees. Shareen has built a career around providing advice and counsel to employees, managers and leaders in dealing with workplace issues and developing workplace policies that comply with legal and regulatory requirements and support RBC’s Values.
Prior to joining RBC, Shareen worked as a senior associate counsel at a Minneapolis law firm, practicing in the areas of employment counseling and litigation.
Shareen received a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan and graduated cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Tubman Center, which promotes safe and healthy individuals and families through education and support services.
For two decades, Jess has led Life Time, the Healthy Way of Life company, as their Chief Learning Officer, and EVP of Human Capital. A master teacher and coach, he is a known innovator in his field featured in both CLO and Forefront magazines.
Over his tenure with Life Time, he has grown the team member population to 40,000 nationwide in 152 locations, while staying committed to personally impacting the on-boarding and development of each hire. Known for his inspirational kick-offs and keynotes, Jess is a sought after speaker and trainer. With a graduate degree in organizational psychology and change leadership from Columbia, Jess is also an expert voice in understanding change management and culture development.
Prior to working with Life Time, Jess served in public education as a teacher, mentor, and coach. Jess currently resides in Minnesota with his wife, Jen and enjoys spending time with his adult children, traveling as a family and mountain biking on as many trails he can find.
