The Benefits Consultant plays a critical role in managing and enhancing employee benefit programs. This exciting role is responsible for all aspects of employee benefit programs, including program evaluation, administration, and management, as well as cost and benefits analysis, research on new programs, and recommendations to improve the overall benefits package. The successful candidate will stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison with benefits brokers and retirement plan providers.
- Administer and support Leave and Disability programs.
- Oversee group health plans, well-being, workers' compensation, and retirement plans.
- Process payroll deductions and conduct insurance billing audits.
- Lead new hire benefits orientation and onboarding support.
- Ensure accuracy in employee records within HRIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Run HR reports and audits and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Advise on compliance best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of HR experience that includes benefits and leave administration.
- Expertise in managing leave of absence programs.
- Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Committed to supporting employee well-being.
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $50-$80, DOE
