This leadership role involves orchestrating digital infrastructure initiatives and guiding technology strategy across the organization. The position involves analyzing organizational technology requirements and deploying appropriate solutions to meet operational objectives.

Key responsibilities include supervising communication networks and various electronic operational platforms. The role provides direct leadership to a diverse technical team encompassing:

  • Infrastructure specialists and system architects
  • Cybersecurity professionals
  • Mobile device management specialists
  • End-user support personnel and workstation technicians
  • Network engineering staff
  • Additional technical operations personnel within the infrastructure and operations division

The successful candidate will drive strategic technology planning while ensuring seamless coordination of all computing initiatives that support business functions.

Worksite location: Twin Cities, MN – 100% onsite

Salary: $90 – 130k salary

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Initiative Management
    • Direct comprehensive technology transformations, encompassing blueprint development and rollout of innovative digital platforms and services across the enterprise.
  • Resource Oversight and Compliance
    • Enforce organizational equipment management protocols for all devices containing storage media. Monitor operational efficiency of technological systems to evaluate financial impact and productivity metrics, providing strategic recommendations for infrastructure enhancement.
  • Planning and Architecture Leadership
    • Oversee complete system lifecycle and capacity planning processes. Contribute to establishing technology infrastructure vision, framework design, and operational workflows. Guide the creation, deployment, and refinement of enterprise-wide technological infrastructure, platforms, and software solutions while directing interdisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, protected systems that align with organizational standards and business goals.
  • Security and Vendor Relations
    • Engage in cybersecurity protocol updates and emerging methodologies upon introduction. Evaluate technology suppliers and oversee all contractual agreements. Collaborate with various organizational divisions to advance technological enhancements as specified and requested.
  • Service Management and Documentation
    • Implement IT Service Management practices following ITIL standards, including incident resolution, issue tracking, and modification oversight. Deploy Configuration Management Database systems while establishing policies and procedures to maintain data integrity. Create and update standard operating procedures for technology operations. Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation for both end-users and technical support staff.
  • Collaboration and Project Coordination
    • Coordinate workforce allocation with IT procurement and training divisions for technical support functions. Partner with IT Operations leadership to manage major technological transitions. Collaborate with IT Operations leadership on supplier relationships, agreements, and technological modifications to advance organizational objectives. Work alongside IT Operations leadership on staff matters, resource allocation, professional development, and team cohesion initiatives.
  • Compliance and Recovery Planning
    • Execute routine system evaluations and maintain regulatory adherence. Support and contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. Ensure appropriate notifications reach end-users regarding system interruptions, whether planned or unexpected.
  • Financial and Administrative Duties
    • Collaborate with IT Operations leadership to track comprehensive cost documentation and annual expenditure modifications. Partner with budget and expenditure analysts to maintain precise and traceable spending records. Participate in scheduled meetings as required or relevant. Monitor and evaluate adherence to established technology policies.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of IT personnel management experience
  • 5+ years working within a Microsoft environment – Windows, Azure, O365, etc.
  • Customer service-oriented
