With a strong foundation in innovation and sustainability, our exciting client is seeking an Interim Benefits Consultant to ensure a seamless employee experience while their permanent hire is identified. This 2-month, full-time contract role (40 hours/week) will provide essential support across U.S. and Canadian benefits administration, compliance, and vendor/broker management. The consultant will lead Open Enrollment, serve as the first point of contact for benefit inquiries, and manage vendor relationships while helping maintain benefits compliance and auditing processes.
Worksite Location: Hybrid – flexibility on a specific schedule to be confirmed.
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer and implement benefit programs (401(k), pension, health & welfare, life, LOA, etc.) for U.S. and Canada
- Lead Open Enrollment (via ADP Workforce Now), ensuring a smooth employee experience
- Serve as the first point of contact for benefit-related inquiries in North America
- Manage vendor, broker, and outsourced LOA provider relationships
- Ensure LOA alignment with payroll and Short-term Disability benefits
- Provide input into benefit design and implement plan changes
- Coordinate renewal processes with brokers and vendors
- Audit plans for accuracy; oversee 5500s, EEOC, Non-Discrimination Testing, census reporting
- Conduct annual Motor Vehicle Reporting audit and uphold Driver Policy compliance
- Communicate benefits updates and maintain documentation for compliance
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of HR benefits administration experience
- Deep understanding of U.S. and Canadian benefits compliance
- Experience managing vendors, brokers, and benefit systems
- Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (preferred)
- Familiarity with 1094/1095 reporting and benefits audits
- CEBS and CPSP certifications preferred
- Excellent relationship-building, project management, and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
