The Interim HR Director will oversee day-to-day HR operations, lead a team of 4–6 direct reports, and act as a strategic advisor across the business. The ideal candidate possesses a well-rounded HR background, experience across multiple work environments, and a proactive and collaborative approach. This full-time, hybrid interim role will begin in early to mid-July and continue for at least two months, with the potential for extension.
Worksite Location: Hybrid – A minimum of 3 days per week onsite is required.
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $60-$75

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the HR department
- Support and manage a team of 4–6 HR professionals, including HR assistants, payroll/HRIS, and coordinators
- Advise managers on employee relations and performance management
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across a multi-state workforce
- Provide HR support to diverse employee groups, including corporate, warehouse, distribution, and retail functions
- Support organizational growth and change during a period of high M&A activity
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and the VP of HR on strategic HR initiatives
- Maintain and enhance a strong, people-first culture in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an HR Director, HR Manager, or Senior HR Business Partner
- Strong generalist HR expertise with knowledge of employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations
- Experience managing and mentoring HR teams
- Ability to support diverse employee populations across business units and locations
- Experience working in high-growth or PE-backed environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus (not required)
- Ability to work onsite at least 3 days/week
