Interim HR Director (ID:47067)
A fast-growing, private equity–backed organization in the agriculture equipment industry is seeking an Interim HR Director to step into a key leadership role during a critical time of transition. With a family-owned feel and an expanding national footprint, this company supports a wide range of employees, from corporate staff to warehouse and retail teams. The Interim HR Director will oversee day-to-day HR operations, lead a team of 4–6 direct reports, and act as a strategic advisor across the business. The ideal candidate possesses a well-rounded HR background, experience across multiple work environments, and a proactive and collaborative approach. This full-time, hybrid interim role will begin in early to mid-July and continue for at least two months, with the potential for extension.

Worksite Location: Hybrid – A minimum of 3 days per week onsite is required.

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $60-$75

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the HR department
  • Support and manage a team of 4–6 HR professionals, including HR assistants, payroll/HRIS, and coordinators
  • Advise managers on employee relations and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across a multi-state workforce
  • Provide HR support to diverse employee groups, including corporate, warehouse, distribution, and retail functions
  • Support organizational growth and change during a period of high M&A activity
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and the VP of HR on strategic HR initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance a strong, people-first culture in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Director, HR Manager, or Senior HR Business Partner
  • Strong generalist HR expertise with knowledge of employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations
  • Experience managing and mentoring HR teams
  • Ability to support diverse employee populations across business units and locations
  • Experience working in high-growth or PE-backed environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to work onsite at least 3 days/week
