Einstein Was Onto Something: Science Meets Content Marketing

I want to take a minute to dissect one of my all-time favorite quotes:
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” -Albert Einstein
As a marketer, I assume you’ve heard of the 80/20 rule for content marketing. If you’re not familiar, the rule states that 80% of your time should be spent educating your audience, and 20% of your time should be spent selling them.
Applying Einstein’s quote (and I’ve heard the guy was pretty smart), if 80% of your time is spent providing knowledge, how much time have you spent assisting the imagination of your audience?
The most powerful question you can get your audience to ask themselves is, “What if…?”
You want to put out relevant, remarkable content? Get your audience to use their imagination.
