Accounting Manager

Step into a high-visibility Accounting Manager role where you’ll partner directly with the CFO, own end-to-end accounting for multiple entities, and help elevate reporting, controls, and forecasting. The Accounting Manager is a trusted leader on the finance and operations team, reporting directly to the CFO. This role oversees accounting operations across multiple entities, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, and supports planning and decision-making. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, drive continuous improvement across systems and processes, and lead day-to-day accounting execution—while helping the business scale efficiently.

Worksite Location: Lakeville 

Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000

Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Prepare and post month-end, quarterly, year-end, and ad hoc journal entries

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and deliver month-end reporting packages to senior leadership

  • Support annual budgeting and financial planning by pulling/preparing key data

  • Assist with implementing P&L and cash forecasting processes

  • Prepare bi-annual accounts receivable (AR) reserve calculations

  • Lead weekly AR review meetings with finance and order teams to monitor and manage balances

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reporting as requested

  • Perform job costing, including verifying accurate material and labor allocations

  • Supervise and review accounting work completed by team members

Reconciliations & Approvals

  • Approve expense reports via Expensify

  • Approve and/or prepare bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Prepare and/or review key account reconciliations

  • Enter large vendor bills as received from senior leadership

Audit & Compliance

  • Delegate and perform tasks supporting year-end audit and physical inventory counts

  • Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns (or liaise with outside tax firm and Avalara/Avatax to support third-party filings)

  • Assist with insurance payments as directed

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Serve as primary system administrator for NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Expensify

  • Partner with departments to troubleshoot and resolve accounting system questions and issues

Ad Hoc Support

  • Respond to ad hoc finance and reporting requests from leadership and cross-functional partners

People Leadership

  • Supervise one direct report (AP/AR Clerk)

  • Provide coaching and guidance to operations/finance teams on transactional system usage

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (manufacturing preferred)

  • 2+ years of people leadership/management experience

  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise

  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred (or similar ERP)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive improvements

  • Desire for professional development; able to coach and develop others
