Collections Specialist

The Collections Specialist will join our client in its Twin Cities office and is responsible for collecting payments from customers globally while maintaining strong customer relationships across diverse payment terms and methodologies. The Collections Specialist will partner closely with internal stakeholders to resolve account issues, support leadership reporting needs, and ensure compliance with internal credit and risk policies. This position plays a key role in maintaining effective accounting controls and ensuring timely cash flow.
Worksite Location:?This hybrid position is in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Currently, the team works on-site four days a week
Salary: $55k - $70k/yr base salary plus holiday bonus.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- You will utilize your knowledge and experience to problem solve accounts or statement issues.
- You will maintain great relationships with global customers on diverse payment terms and methodologies to ensure that the client gets paid on time and queries are quickly and effectively resolved.
- You will support the preparation of materials and presentations for the leadership team.
- You will be responsible for risk control, enforcing internal credit policies and communicating concerns to management.
- You will implement and maintain adequate accounting and internal controls as well as effective disclosure controls and procedures.
- Additional Duties as assigned related to the above.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experienced Collections Specialist with a thorough understanding of computerized general ledgers and accounts receivable packages, D365 or Great Plains preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office products.
- Unparalleled attention to detail, ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once, and handle a fast-paced environment.
- A self-starter able to hit the ground running.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Work independently as well as being willing and able to contribute to a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
