As the Company Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial health, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. In this key role, you will work closely with the executive team and board members to inform decision-making, provide financial insights, and implement strategies that support the organization's continued growth. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in GAAP who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working both strategically and hands-on.

Worksite Location: This position is in Rosemount, MN

Salary: $110k – $150k/yr. base salary plus annual bonus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the monthly closing process and prepare accurate and timely financial reporting packages, balance sheets, P&Ls, cash flow reports, and bank reporting in compliance with GAAP
  • Audit & Compliance: Lead annual independent audits, maintain robust internal controls, and ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Develop and manage cash forecasting models, oversee collections and supplier payments, and proactively address potential liquidity issues
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Build and manage a robust budgeting and forecasting cadence, aligning financial targets with company strategy
  • Revenue & Cost Management: Implement effective practices for revenue recognition, COGS, inventory, and accruals to optimize profitability
  • Risk & Strategic Insights: Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, while providing clear, actionable insights and KPIs to leadership and the board
  • Financial Communication: Create concise financial materials for internal stakeholders, board members, and lenders; provide timely guidance to the CEO and leadership team
  • Process & Systems Improvement: Standardize accounting processes, costing structures, and margin analysis while improving efficiency and scalability across systems
  • Special Projects: Support ad hoc strategic initiatives and operational improvements as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
  • Technical Expertise: Strong GAAP knowledge; experience managing audits, treasury functions, and financial reporting
  • Systems & Tools: Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and financial reporting systems; proficiency with collaboration tools and technology-driven accounting processes
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to provide clear financial guidance to executive leadership and board members
  • Mindset: Hands-on leader with a positive attitude, sense of urgency, and willingness to roll up sleeves
