Data Platform Engineer (ID:47371)
We're seeking a Data Platform Engineer to lead the end-to-end orchestration, governance, and health of our enterprise data ecosystem. The successful candidate will bring experience in DBA fundamentals, cloud-native engineering, and data governance, as well as experience working with software engineers, product managers, and teammates specializing in data analytics and insights. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, accessible, and reliable data across multiple platforms, pipelines, and API integrations. *No work visa or sponsorship available; no C2C.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annual base salary.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the orchestration of multiple data feeds, pipelines, and cloud-native platforms, ensuring reliable, timely, and accurate data delivery.
- Maintain observability of the data estate, including anomaly detection, monitoring, and end-to-end health checks.
- Implement data governance and master data management practices to track data ownership, lineage, accessibility, and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define requirements, ensure proper data consumption, and drive process improvements.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and automated pipelines, integrating APIs, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.), and on-premise sources where applicable.
- Provide high-level oversight of the enterprise data ecosystem, identifying risks, inefficiencies, or gaps, and recommending solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers or data stewards on best practices for governance, pipeline orchestration, and observability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering, data orchestration, or a hybrid DBA/data engineering role.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and ability to adapt to SQL, Oracle, or other enterprise database systems.
- Experience with data pipelines, API integrations, and orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and observability tools.
- Ability to maintain a high-level view of complex enterprise data ecosystems and drive actionable improvements.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
