This HRBP will provide operational HR support to a multi-state manufacturing business unit within a larger organization. Acting as a proactive partner to management, this role drives employee engagement, ensures compliance, and promotes a collaborative and performance-driven workplace. This role focuses on high-impact HR initiatives that align with business objectives.

Worksite Location: Mendota Heights, MN - Hybrid, one day a week remote.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/year

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers as a trusted HR advisor, guiding them on performance, conflict resolution, discipline, and policy matters.
  • Champion a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous feedback.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of employment laws and company policies across all locations.
  • Support employees and leaders through the Worker's Compensation process, from claims to return-to-work planning.
  • Assist with attendance and leave management, making sure communication between managers and benefits runs smoothly.
  • Manage unemployment claims with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contribute to key HR projects, including performance programs, employee communications, wellness initiatives, training, and handbook updates.
  • Lead the administration of the Drug and Alcohol testing program, ensuring compliance and seamless execution.

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • 6–8 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field.
  • Solid knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and workplace best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Bonus points for:
    • PHR certification
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
    • Experience supporting multiple locations
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
