The Interim Benefits Manager will lead and support benefits operations during a key transitional period for the HR team while providing essential oversight, mentorship, and continuity while long-term decisions are made. The successful candidate will manage a team of two analysts and oversee the administration of both Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits. This role requires a seasoned benefits professional who can lead day-to-day operations, partner cross-functionally, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to ongoing plan design and audits. Prior experience managing pre/open enrollment, compliance, and regulatory needs is essential.
Worksite Location: Hybrid – Onsite in Eden Prairie, MN: Tuesday through Thursday; Remote Monday and Friday
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $55-$75, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management for Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits
- Manage and mentor a team of two Benefits Analysts
- Oversee vendor relationships and support the benefits portal and project management
- Lead and support compliance, audits, HIPAA training, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, leaders, and internal teams
- Contribute to plan design reviews and process improvements
- Support open enrollment planning and execution
- Assist with retirement audits and benefit strategy input
- Partner with the HRIS and data teams to ensure accurate system operations
- Leverage Excel and benefits systems for auditing and reporting
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in benefits management (Health & Welfare and Retirement)
- Proven leadership experience, including managing a small team
- Track record of overseeing multiple open enrollment cycles
- Experience with U.S. benefits; Canadian benefits experience is a plus
- Proficiency with benefits systems and data audits
- Experience working with vendor partners and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency
- SAP and/or BenefitFocus experience preferred
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability and the ability to ramp up quickly
