Interim/Contract to Hire – Quality Manager
Our client is a growing, Private Equity owned company with multiple sites supplying Al castings, injection molded and thermoformed parts as a contract manufacturer with a high mix, low volume business. With organic growth and growth through acquisitions, this is an exciting time to join the organization and have an impact!
The Senior Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the quality management systems within our organization, supporting 2 sites in Minnesota. This person will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations; responsible for leading various teams & quality initiatives to develop robust quality control processes and continuous improvement strategies. This person will analyze data to identify quality trends, implement corrective actions, and foster a culture of excellence. This is a highly collaborative position, helping to drive product and service improvements, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range – depends on experience - $110,000 - $140,000.
Worksite Location:
On-site position at the HQ near Belle Plaine, MN
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong safety culture by actively supporting all safety programs and initiatives.
- Lead and mentor Quality Engineers and QA staff, fostering technical and professional growth.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance quality management systems aligned with ISO, ASTM, and aerospace standards.
- Drive strategic quality initiatives to advance aerospace-level compliance and performance.
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and deliver data-driven insights to senior leadership.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D to resolve quality issues and implement lasting solutions.
- Oversee the creation, review, and control of SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation across sites.
- Manage customer quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurrence.
- Provide advanced quality engineering support in design and development, including risk assessment and validation planning.
- Ensure products meet all applicable standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
- Monitor and improve quality control processes to increase efficiency and reduce variation.
- Assess supplier quality performance and lead supplier development efforts.
- Support continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies; assist with quality budgets and resource planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within quality processes.
- Travel to other business units as needed to provide quality leadership and support (10–15%).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8 years of experience in a manufacturing setting (batch process ideal)
- Experience in an ISO certified environment
- Experience managing customer complaints
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS) as well as conducting quality audits and inspections ideal.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with quality control tools and methodologies.
