The HR Consultant will focus on PFL readiness, including policy development, communications, training, systems integration, payroll setup, and compliance. This consultant will provide both strategic guidance and hands-on execution, supporting HR leadership in managing the nuances of a highly unionized and geographically dispersed workforce.
Worksite Location: Hybrid (onsite after initial meetings, then flexibility for hybrid work). North West metro area.
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $55-$75, DOE.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a project plan for PFL implementation
- Ensure an effective communication strategy and supporting materials (the client team will deliver training)
- Review and validate system readiness for reporting (Vista & Workday)
- Partner with Payroll to ensure compliance and readiness across multiple systems (Vista & Workday)
- Draft and implement administrative processes, policies, and procedures related to PFL
- Collaborate with HR leadership to align with compliance requirements across union and non-union groups
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience navigating Paid Family Leave (PFL) in complex organizations
- Strong background in both union and non-union workforce environments
- Expertise in systems integration, payroll compliance, and policy development
- Familiarity with HRIS/payroll platforms (Vista and Workday strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and partner with HR leaders on large-scale policy and compliance rollouts
